416 stainless steel rod

416 stainless steel rod

416 stainless steel is a steel with better cutting performance in stainless steel. 416 stainless steel is mainly used in the production of solenoid valves, micro-motors and electrical components. The above materials are all free-cutting stainless steel, especially suitable for mass production of automatic lathes and CNC lathes.

416 stainless steel bar standard: AISI, ASTM Model: 416 UNS number: S41600

Introduction

Name: Martensitic stainless steel

Standard: AISI, ASTM

Model Number: 416

UNS number: S41600

Chinese brand: Y1Cr13

416 stainless steel rod Characteristic

416 stainless steel has low carbon content and good corrosion resistance. 416 is a free-cutting martensitic stainless steel. It can be strengthened by heat treatment. The strength and machinability of 416 is better than that of 304 and 316. The friction coefficient is small, but the corrosion resistance is not as good as 304 and 316.

Chemical Composition(%)

Sulfur S: ≤ 0.15

Molybdenum Mo: can be added with molybdenum of 0.60% or less

416 stainless steel rod Heat treatment range

Since the tissue structure is a body-centered cubic structure, the strength drops sharply at high temperatures. Below 600 ° C, the high temperature strength is the highest among all types of stainless steel, and the creep strength is also the highest.

Heat treatment specifications: 1) Annealing, 800-900 ° C slow cooling or about 750 ° C rapid cooling; 2) quenching, 920 ~ 980 ° C oil cooling; 3) tempering, 600 ~ 750 ° C rapid cooling.

Metallographic organization: The tissue is characterized by martensite type.

Delivery status: generally delivered in heat treatment state
