316 is superior to 304 steel in corrosion resistance to seawater and various corrosive media. Used for anti-pitting materials.
The 316L is a very low carbon 316 steel. The performance is 316 steel performance plus anti-intergranular corrosion performance.
What is the difference between 316L, 316S, 316LS stainless steel rods?
316 and 316L stainless steel rods are molybdenum-containing stainless steel.
The molybdenum content in 316L stainless steel is slightly higher than that of 316 stainless steel.
Under high temperature conditions, when the concentration of sulfuric acid is lower than 15% and higher than 85%, 316 stainless steel has a wide range of uses.
316 stainless steel also has good chloride attack properties, so it is usually used in the marine environment.
316L stainless steel has a maximum carbon content of 0.03 and can be used for annealing and is not required after soldering.
316 added Mo, corrosion resistance, air corrosion resistance, high temperature strength is particularly good, suitable for use in harsh conditions.
Work hardening performance is good. For seawater equipment, chemicals, paper, fuel, oxalic acid, fertilizer production equipment, photography, food industry, coastal facilities and Rope, CD Bar, Bolt, Nut (non-magnetic).
316L is a low carbon 316 steel with the characteristics of 316 steel and good resistance to grain boundary corrosion.
The 316S features 316 steel and is suitable for very thin wires such as Mesh.
